Pricing for work to be performed will be provided to our customers in one of the following three methods:

• ESTIMATE
• QUOTE
• RATE PER HOUR

ESTIMATE – An estimate will usually include parts and materials either lumped together or separated.  Keep in mind that an estimate is provided based on an initial assessment of the time, materials, and level of difficulty of the work to be performed and is subject to change at any point during the work/repair process.  Estimates are most commonly affected by unforeseen problems encountered during the work/repair phase that were not apparent or could not be identified during the initial evaluation.

QUOTE – A quote(sometimes referred to as a “Bid”) is very similar to an estimate in concept.  However, a quote represents a fixed price for all work to be performed and should include all labor, materials, and an estimated time of completion.  Although the person or firm submitting the quote is assuming the risk of unforeseen expenses, it is not common for adjustments to be made to the price. 

RATE PER HOUR – In some cases, it is very difficult to determine the amount of time, materials, and level of difficulty for a project.  In these cases, we present our customers with an hourly labor rate to perform the work.  Our current hourly labor rate is $59.00 for the first project hour and $29 per hour for every hour after that.  We find that most of our “Handyman” projects fall into the rate per hour category.  The rate per hour is based on the number of total “Man Hours” that it takes to complete the project and does not include any other expenses such as materials, equipment rental, etc.

For example, if the job only requires one person (otherwise referred to as a “resource"), and it takes him/her two hours to complete the job, the amount of the invoice would be calculated as follows:

1 resource   ( X )                  1^st  hour @ $59.00 = $59.00  

1 resource   ( X )     1 additional  hour @ $29.00 = $29.00             

2 - Total Man Hrs                                                $88.00

If the job requires two people (otherwise referred to as “resources"), and it takes them two hours to complete the job, the amount of the invoice would be calculated as follows:

1^st hour   @  $59.00  =   $59.00

3  hours   @  $29.00  =   $87.00            

4 -Total Man Hrs       $146.00
